We have held over 60 events in the past year at various venues including the Kensington Town Hall, the Brompton Library, St Mary Abbott's Church Centre, St Peter's Church Notting Hill and sheltered housing schemes throughout the Borough.
In 2016 we helped The Rt Hon. Victoria Borwick MP and Lady Elizabeth Arnold DL organise a massive Tea for the Queen event at the Kensington Town Hall to commemorate Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday. It was the biggest indoor event in the country held for the Queen's 90th birthday. See the video on the left.
Again, in 2018 we worked with Victoria Borwick and Lady Elizabeth Arnold DL to organise a Community Tea to commemorate 100 years of the Vote for Women.
Vote 100 is the Parliamentary project to mark the 100th anniversary of the Representation of the People Act 1918, which enabled all men and some women over the age of 30 to vote for the first time. The Borough of Kensington and Chelsea hosted an event for 400 elderly, isolated and homebound residents on July 8th, 2018 at the Kensington Town Hall to commemorate this anniversary. The Kensington and Chelsea Forum for Older Residents worked with all the voluntary organisations in the Borough to invite guests.
